Everything moves just fine Level has bubble Optics are intact no cracks or discoloration There is a lock pin and chain missing for the horizon detent Nickel plating is worn away in places Surface rust. Some pitting but not too serious Does not have the legs…maybe you do? Box could stand refinishing but you can make out the Starrett name on the front as well as a stenciled something The carry strap will have to be replaced…too short for the buckle I believe this to be an older model because of the box style with no name on top and no ridges on top The buckle type strap I don’t believe the wood is oak either. Up for bid is a Sokkia dt6. It comes in fitted case. The Tool itself has very minor cosmetic wear including a few paint rubs and a very little bit of rust. All knobs feel very smooth. The power switch is tight and functioning. The lcd display lights up immediately when powered on. The lens is not cracked. The level is not cracked. It is missing any lens covers. Come with its red carrying case that snaps onto the base of it. The instrument is in good vintage condition and the carrying case is solid. The handle is holding fast. Serial number is 106228. This tool was obviously used. Like I said it is in good vintage condition but there are some indicators of its age. The case especially is worn with a lot of the paint scraped off and some oxidation on the metal fixtures. The tool itself has some surface wear and slight oxidation here and there. Purchased at an estate sale. I have no history on this item. I was advised it is an early transit level, used for surveying. It comes in its original wood box with hooks, key lock, and handle. The gold colored metal plate on the outer box identifies Buff Industries Inc, NY as the maker. The level vials are intact with visible bubbles. The transit level, while not new, appears to be in good shape and will benefit from cleaning. It looks to be made of a grey colored metal and brass.The box shows expected wear.
