This Wild Heerbrugg N-3 Survey Level is in excellent mechanical condition. The level's optics and additional features are all in proper working condition. This piece has not been calibrated recently. Case with latch and lockdowns all work well. Original strap is slightly frazzled but is strong. The magnification eyepiece is in good condition with strong locking twist both on case and level. Mirror level reflector is in good condition even though photo is reflecting lights and may appear to have cracks. It does not. This is a good working piece and has not been abused. Very early model of the Wild T-16 theodolite. All parts appear to be present and in working order. Serial number 82297. Very low number. Most I have seen are six digit. The bullet case has seen better days. Rough surface and one small dent near the top. The leather carrying strap is also worn and broken. 1937 W. L. E. Gurley Survey Transit Serial# 371165 in the original box with adjustable tripod. Box is olive green and used to be in service with the US Navy. The transit is in excellent but used condition with minimal scratches to the coatings as befitting a 76 year old surveying instrument. Telescope optics are in great condition and are not scratched. Front and rear focus elements work smoothly. Compass Face is not scratched or chipped. And the vernier scale is in near mint condition. All leveling bubbles are intact and filled. Levelingl ocks and tangents operate smoothly. There is no rust on the steel components or patina on thebrass components. All tools are in the box with exception of the plumb bob. Keyf or the box is not available. The wooden box has broken leather side straps and the ... morebackpack straps are in good shape though the leather near the bottom of the case is starting to deteriorate. But still functional. Vintage/ Antique Australian all Brass Surveyor's level by Bush& MacDonnell George St Sydney in its fitted case. The body and mount on the instrument is in good order but the top bubble is broken and the optics are a little dull. Please enlarge the photos and check it out. David White Transit with original wooden case. I do not have a key, but it does have a latch on it as well. Everything seems to work fine, and all the gadgets work. I can see the birds during the day, and stars at night very well. It has printed# 8071 on the Transit, not sure if it means model or serial number. I bought it on e bay in 1996, because I like this kind of antique stuff, paid $ 326.oo for it. I am an old man, and moving. This item is about 30 lbs. just a guess, don't hold me for it) and the wooden case is pretty worn out but I am able to carry it just fine. I took pictures today, and you get what you see people.
