I'm selling at no reserve this beautiful old surveying transit that was made in the late 1920's according to the serial number of 15576. It appears to be in all original. Working, well cared for condition. Based on the condition of the case, it was certainly used for many years. Up for auction is this vintage Lietz/Sokkisha Transit/Level Model No.625 with Compass Wheel. I do not know it's age. It is missing some parts so it's being sold for restoration or parts. it measures 14-1/2" tall. 7-1/4" wide at the dial and the transit/level is 11" long. I believe the eye piece is missing. One of the brackets that holds the small white level in place is missing. The transit/level weighs 18-lbs and 1.6 oz. The box measures 16 x 13 x 9-1/4" and weighs 9-lb and 10.7 oz. It has(2) keys to lock the box. The bottom of the transit/leve I where it mounts to the tripod measures 3-1/2" I have described this transit/level to the best of my knowledge and as I see it. Up for your consideration is a Nikon NE-101 digital theodolite Serial#043344. It comes in the hard case with a plumb bob. It powers up and appears to function as it should. This piece came from a working environment and was used in the field. There are various scratches. Markings, and writing on the unit. The case has scratches, paint, and one broken latch. This antique German P& B Wittstock theodolite is a recent flea market find. It appears to have been purchased new from Abbott-McKay Corporation in Boston. Mass. in 1910. Glass is fairly clear, the focus does work. Overall height with barrel level is approximately 8 1/2" Please look at all photos and ask any questions before you bid. This vintage transit belonged to my father. He brought this back from overseas after world war 2 was over. I cannot find any name on it but it does have a# L- 1386 on it. My father was a farmer and I remember using this transit to level the fields with when I was boy. It looks to be in very nice condition. I will be listing the transit tripod and target in another auction.

A very nice transit with little if any usage wear. There are etchings on the unit from the previous owner. All adjustments are smooth and the optics are clear.
