The theodolite is in good overall condition with good finish and a little wear to one knob. Optically is pretty clear with a couple of small condensation and fungus spots behind the front element of the main telescope and what appears to be a tiny spider but. The front element could probably very easily taken out and cleaned. All the knobs lock and unlock. The case is good with what appears to be 2 dents on the top. This is a great working Topcon TL-60 theodolite. The unit has wear marks on the body of it. The lenses are all clear, and the base is good also. The case is worn but works fine. The inside foam is perfect. The hinges are working but the pins have been broken and it has wire inside the hinges.still opens flawlessly. I took the unit to Geo Shack to have it inspected, cleaned and any repairs needed. The unit was in perfect working order, all the glass was cleaned and a new top handle was put on. This unit is old but in great condition.i will include all paper work for the Geo Shack work.the work along was over 200 dollars.so this unit is ready to go into the field! i will take a reasonable offer.thank you.

Here we have an older Dietzgen transit level or builders level. You are bidding on the instrument and original wooden case only. The wooden case or box is in good shape with scuffs scratches ect. And hinges work freely. The strap is detached because leather attached to box/where buckle is attached is broken, but present. This transit would be in good working condition but is missing a small part on top of instrument.previous owner told me the name but I have forgotten. Sorry! I have no idea on its use. But the bubble looks good, the cross hairs are not all clear. This instrument would be great for either a collector or for actual home or utility construction. This nice vintage 18" long brass David White transit is in the original wood case. This is an estate find from a former engineer. The eye piece is missing but the unit is in good overall working order. There is paint chipping. The case measures 20 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 6 3/4" The case has the original leather strap.

I don't think there is anything at all wrong with this transit but I'm selling it as parts so I don't have to guarantee it because shipping cost to much to ship back& forth. I have for auction a David White LT8-300P level transit with optical plummet. This instrument was repaired and collimated in January of 2013 by professionals. Receipt is pictured and will be included. I have not used it since. It is in well used condition. The collimation costs $90.00 alone. Vintage Craftsman Survey Transit Level& David White Tripod. The wooden tripod is in very good condition with no problems. Labeled with the model number 9024. Manufactured by Realist. Inc. The previous owner of the transit level stated that the focus gear was stripped; that is was missing a few teeth. He said that the focus knob works. But when it gets to the level it slips over the spot. The level is marked 3F-21770 and 79082.

I’m not certain what I have here. But I will let the market determine its value. Based upon a picture on the website of the TOPCON museum, I believe it to be a 1959 Tokyo Kogaku Transit A. I do not find a model# on the instrument. It may be on the specification plate inside the box, but that is all in Japanese, which is Greek to me. There is a number on the specification plate which is different from the serial# on the instrument, so this may not be the original box, although it would appear to be specific to this instrument. The instrument is in excellent condition. And to my un-expert eye appears to be perfectly useable, although obviously obsolete compared to modern optical or electronic reading instruments. There is essentially no corrosion, and only very minor paint chips. The box has ... morespace for plumb bobs and possibly tools, but the only accessory present is a capstan wrench. There is a built- in compass and optical plummet, and the optics seem to be perfect. From what I can find on the internet Tokyo Kogaku later specialized in cameras and lenses. And was purchased, or became, TOPCON. I am not very knowledgeable in this area, but will readily refund your purchase price if the instrument is not as described. I will have the instrument professionally packed and will send UPS insured. If the postage is less than predicted I will refund the excess. If this is a Transit A.
