One long foot strap has more wear than the other(pictures) some cuts and thinner and more floppy than the other- still will hold securely. The set has been sitting for several years and the copper rivets have some green residue around them. The points are replaceable with a screw. Nice set of vintage climbing equipment. Buckingham Manufacturing Company Bell System Belt is leather with heavy duty buckle and rings for tree/ pole strap. Has built in tool holders. Metal reinforcement on belt has what appears to be brass fasteners. The backside of the buckle is imprinted with what appears to say Bell System and some other worn lettering- see photos. On the back of the belt is a brass tag that has some numbers and Buckingham. Tree/ Pole strap is leather with heavy duty snap hooks that snap onto rings on belt. Adjustable with heavy duty buckle. These are all nice tools and lightly used if at all for some of them. Just tried them out a couple of times. When I traveled to attend Northwest Lineman College I switched to the tools that the school provided me as well as other students. Just trying to get something out of the ones that I'm not using. good Klein Pole Climbing Spikes w/Bashlin Pads(Ga Power Lineman estate) Fresh estate find. Owner was a Georgia Power lineman. I have other gear from his estate listed. Klein spikes marked"17/ M. Klein& Sons Chicago/ cat. no 1901" This style has permanently attached spikes. These are certainly used but as the last photo shows still quite sharp and undamaged. The pads are marked Bashlin and have leather straps upper and lower. Used Pair Of Buckingham Steel Contoured Climbers With 4" Velcro Pads With Angled Metal Inserts model 3502. If your just starting out Climbing as a apprentice or a Journeyman Lineman these are the perfect set(in my opinion) These climbers are as comfortable as it gets. Especially with the addition of the Velcro pads. This is a used set that I've owned for a little less then a year now, I paid around $300.for the whole set up. I'm 6'1 and these fit perfectly, However if your shorter u can adjust them. There is no issues with these the Velcro is in good shape there are no rips or tears, the leather is not cut or torn. The paint has come off a little in some spots, But if you have ever climbed you should know that is normal wear the gaffs are sharp so u shouldn't have to sharpen ... morethem. However everyone likes there gaffs sharpened differently. Some like them super sharp, and some prefer them a little dull.
