Please"supersize" the last photo for a description of it's features and specs. You'll need switches(and wires) if you want to add a panic button and/or door& window alarms. It's in great condition. But the foam is fragile- it crumbles if you touch it. The instructions are dated 1977. I put the jumper on to try the backup battery- it doesn't work. But it says it's rechargeable. I took the cover off to look- the terminals are corroded some. So I didn't try charging it. The battery will likely need replaced if you want it to work in case power goes out. I am selling off most of my siren collection as my interests are switching gears. Here is my ACA Banshee. It sports a 15-hp single phase motor and a single-tone chopper. It is also equipped with stator defrosters. So this siren must have been in a state with cold winters(I am unsure where it came from originally) This siren will likely never run again, so I am suggesting that it be purchased to be used as an aesthetic/conversation piece only. Bar/restaurant? Man cave? Private siren collection? Museum? Or do you just wanna have something your neighbor probably does not have? The possibilities are nearly endless! The fiberglass is in surprisingly good condition. These usually get banged up when they are removed, but this one was treated with dignity and respect. It is a 3 phase. 10 horse unit. No controls are included, but a control box can me made easily using a readily available 3 phase motor starter and a weatherproof enclosure. Siren motor is untested since I do not have three phase power, but the rotor spins freely and coasts down nicely. The siren could use some fiberglass work as you can see in the pics, but that should be really easy to do. One of the three vertical posts that the fiberglass covers bolt to has a bolt broken off in it so that will need to be drilled and re-tapped. This is a very rare Federal C6B coaster siren with a working oscillating red light. The light is a superb attention getter. Because is oscillates up and down, as opposed to common rotating or side-to-side style of warning lights. The C6 siren was in many ways the finest coaster siren ever made by Federal, better even than their famous“Q” series, because it coasts longer, and produces almost as much sound. These were the favorites on the big, old, hearse style Cadillac and Flxible ambulances, which is where this came from. The rear bell has some dents in it, and there is a stress crack in the light cowling. I’ve tried to show these in the pictures. The siren, light and brake all work on 12 volts. This was a poo-poo old grey bell. Origin/history unknown, makers label says 24 volt, so probably not designed for household use? I didn't think there would be much curb appeal if I returned the bell to grey or black, so I laid a nifty two tone green paint job on the bell, bottom lighter gloss green, top darker semi-gloss. Internal portions of bell looks new'ish, my guess is the bell works perfectly(I don't have 24 volts to test with) I,m thinking this bell could have some steampunk applications.

Offered from an estate collection is this rare. Loud and red vintage 6-volt Dictograph v-front siren from the 1940s or 50s in excellent working order. Original red paint remains vivid with gloss, though does show some paint loss from rubbing or shelf wear. There are no dents or broken parts. This vintage siren measures 7 1/2" long, about 6" high including mounting bracket, and about 4 1/2" wide. It is about 3" between mounting holes on the base. This great old siren weighs about 5.25 pounds. There are two wires used to connect the siren. These Dictograph sirens do not come up for auction often. Just a fantastic find for vintage siren collectors, or someone looking to perfectly top off that fire engine/truck, ambulance, police car, rat rod or marine project. This came from an old Estate. It is a vintage Dictograph metal siren. This would be great for a vintage police car. Emergency rescue vehicles, marine, Rat Rods, or what ever you want to give a vintage touch to as well as make some noise. It appears to be in good used condition. It does not have any rust and I do not see any dents in it. It does have paint loss. It measures approximately 7 1/2" in length X 6" in eight which includes the mounting base X 4 1/2" in width. The distance between the mounting holes on the mounting base is approximately 3" from the center of one hole to the center of the other hole. It is somewhat heavy weighing approximately 5 1/2 pounds. The tag on this reads: 6 volt. Serial no. 1K1203. Amps DC. Model OS- 3. These do not come up for sale often ... moreand this one appears to be decent yet. I was told that this worked but I have no way of testing it. The wiring appears to have been updated at some point in time as it shows two yellow wires now.
