This is a used Wassco Glo-Melt electrical soldering unit. 500 watts with 24 settings, from 1.0 to 5.8 Volts. Unit powers up and the voltages are selectable with the switch. I am not able to test further but it is a simple transformer with taps so not much to go wrong. Hakko 999-224 Adjustable Boom Stand I am selling some of my hakko equipment after upgrading. The sway lock is missing however I would never need to use that lock. I am sure any hardware store will have a screw to match the threading. It pretty much stays where you put it unless it is bumped though. I replaced the screws to swing the hot air wand up and down. I did this so you can adjust it quicker as I needed to often. Shipping is going to be expensive since it is about 50 pounds. I will refund any extra if it comes out less. Shipping To All States In the USA I have seen so many people working with their soldering iron or desoldering iron and they are not watching what they are doing. Accidentally bump their iron against the electrical line or hose and it is basically destroyed! All it takes to damage the lines on the Aoyue tools is a quick tap with the tip of your irons and you will be replacing the air hose or electrical lines and sometimes both! That's when I came up with this protective heat resistant sleeve that keeps the accidental tap of the irons from destroying your hoses and putting you out of commission until you get a replacement. My kit includes 2 heat resistant line covers made by 3M with slits to install the 2 tie straps to keep the cover secured. One of the covers are longer than the other so ... moreyou have to make sure that you do not put the long cover on the shorter line. The desoldering iron is the shortest line. I am guessing that you can use these covers on any brand of irons. The lengths of my covers are ~41" and ~37" I find the easiest way to install these covers is to tie a length of kite string or equivalent to a door knob and tie a paper clip to the over end. Drop the paper clip into one end of the cover and let it slide down to the other end where you pull it out. Then tie that end of the string to the metal fastener of the irons and pull on the cover to help guide the cover over the lines. Some may want to spray a lubricant like cooking spray or another food grade type lube that will not damage plastic of rubber. I didn't use a lube and I took my time and I got the covers on and the ties attached in about 10 minutes. I am not going to be held responsible for damage that occurs because someone tried to force the cover on there lines and damage something. I have foreseen nothing of the sort happening myself. But hey we all know that there is going to be someone out there that just can't do mechanical tasks and they should not try to do something that they are not sure they can handle. I have

I've searched quite a bit and haven't found anything quite like this. My understanding is that different metals can use different formulations of flux to help with bonding. Metal flow, etc. This very old flux pot has four individual chambers. Three of them have raised lettering"A" B" and"C" Nothing on the fourth section. It's a two piece cover that can rotate to each chamber while keeping the others covered. The bottom has raised lettering which reads"FLUX POT SCHLAFER HARDWARE CO APPLETON WIS PAT APPL FOR" Schlafer was a hardware store here that was in business downtown from at least 1908 through the 1950's.
