This vintage pair of climbing spikes is up for bid. There is no reserve on this bidding. So good luck. Back in the day, electricians and loggers would use these strap-on spikes for pole climbing purposes. The body of them is made out of steel, heated and shaped and fashioned to have the right angle for the spike to bite into the pole as they made their ascent. The straps are very sturdy leather, with a large buckle. These have to be put on tightly, because your life would depend on them. I believe these are from the 60's or 70's. For Sale is a Front Mount Power Angle Snow Blade for a John Deere 3000/ 4000 series loader. It fit my 460 and 400x loaders and will fit many others with the John Deere loader quick connect. This model is a BW14677 6 ft wide and was sold by John Deere for ~$3.000. I had a welding shop fabricate 1 ft extension to each side to make the blade 8 ft wide to adequately cover the rear tire width when blade is angled. A 30 degree angled blade looses 14% in width. Doing the math reduces the 96" width to 82.5 inches. Did some internet research. this tool is used by tree"cruisers" guys that preview areas for tree harvesting) and this tool helps them figure the harvest amount per acre.
