A true part of American history. Throughout the south in the 1800 through the early 1900's the pines of the south were used to collect their sap for many industrial uses. By slashing the tree and hanging a pot below a couple strands of metal to form a"V" the sap ran into the pot and was then collected by the farmers. This pot was found while hunting in Bunnell Florida. It is in excellent shape, has a couple chips on the rim and by the nail hole but is very sound. is 7.5 inches high and is 5 inches across at the top. Item will be shipped US First Class Mail. I cannot find the makers name, it measures 67 inches total length, the jaw measures 2 1/4 inches long, it weighs about 7 lbs. as shown. It also looks like it has hardly ever been used the jaws are very sharp and I tried my air compressor on it and it worked smooth and cut a heavy stick off quick and clean. I am cleaning house. And this bladder has not been used for quite a few years now. I have a remote 20 acre homestead that when first bought, did not have a well. We had to haul water to water our animals and have on hand. This bladder is in perfect condition. No leaks, no patches, no worn areas. When it was used, it was placed empty in the back of my truck, filled, and driven to our land. To get the water out we used a small portable generator and a cheap submersible pump. The system worked great. I have kept in case of a fire, my well is not enough to suppress a small wildfire should one start. It only takes me about 10 minutes to fill from my garden hose. and can be at the fire with a few minutes after that. This bladder has been stored dry. It has never had water in it for any prolonged ... moreperiod of time. There are NO issues regarding seams and water tightness. The fill tube is usually rolled up and the strap holds it closed for transporting the water with no leakage from it sloshing out. For the pictures seen in this ad. I filled the bladder on a pallet, and I can move with my forklift or my pallet jack. The manufacturer is WaJax Pacific. A company based in Kent, Washington. The bladder holds 150 gallons of water. When empty, it can be folded into tight package for easy storing. I cannot think of anything else to describe. But if you have a question, I'll do my best to answer.
