Vermeer SC252 Stump Grinder with Vermeer Brand Trailer(TLR25) Trailer has two new tires and rims on it(cheaper to get rims with it than have new tires mounted) I have been the only owner of this machine bought it brand new. This machine is equipped with the Auto Sweep option($700.00 Option) I installed the dual wheel kit for when this machine was operating on softer ground conditions. Each wheel has the ability to lock and unlock(drive or be free spinning) depending on what type of functionality you are looking for. It has electric start and will start no problem in warm or cold temperatures. We have professionally maintained this unit ourselves(Vermeer did the upper and lower bearings though) from day one based on manufacturer specifications. The exception to this is changing the hydraulic ... moreoil. They recommend hydraulic oil change out every 500 hours which we feel is not necessary. Hydro oil and filter was changed out at 750 hours seeing as though is a sealed system. Both upper and lower drive bearings(the most common wear item other than teeth) were changed out at 850 hours by Vermeer. This unit is equipped with Vermeer Brand Yellow Jacket teeth. This machine has gone through 3 rigid drive belts and the current belt has 125 hours on it. Typically under normal use a belt will provide 300 hours of use we have found. Clutch system is electric with toggle switch. Feel free to ask any questions I will do my best to answer them quickly. You are welcome to pick the machine and trailer here in Hamburg. UP for action is a 2005 602 sc vermeer stump grinder. It has 228 hrs on a 50 hp caterpillar diesel engine. I spent over $3000 at a vermeer dealer getting a new clutch and drive shaft to the cutting wheel replaced about 30hrs ago.I also upgraded the teeth to yellowjacket teeth and pockets.with extra teeth) It runs great with no leaks anywhere. The grinder has a few dents and scatches from use. The grinder was jackknifed and has a dent on the front as you can see in the picture. But doesn't affect the machines operation at all. This is a set of tongs that is marked Gifford Wood Co. on both sides. I assume this was used at the Gifford Wood Co. saw mill or in the forest to move logs. There are no other markings on it. These are very heavy-duty. They weigh 3 pounds 3 ounces. The diameter of each handle at the widest diameter is 7/8 of an inch. When fully opened. The jaws are 15 1/2 inch from prong to prong. When closed, they are 1 1/2 inch distance between prongs. This has some insignificant rust on them which I removed with a soft bristle wire brush. Then I wiped them down with WD-40. This is a great set of tongs for moving logs or firewood which is what I use my other two pairs for. Will also be great for lifting large slabs of ice. Up for sale is a used Homelite Super 2 Automatic oiling chain saw. It is clean& complete. No missing parts. It has 140 PSI compression. I used this saw around the house for a couple of years. Then, one day it started to load up like the choke was on, but it wasn't. I drained the gas& set it on the shelf in my garage. That ws 4 years ago. I haven't messed with it since, other than to put a compression gauge on it& take some pictures. I imagine the carb needs a kit, along with a fuel filter& spark plug. It has a 16" bar, with a chain with some life left in it. If you are going to run it a lot, the sproket will need replaced soon, it is worn. If you're good at fixing saws, this may be an easy one to get running. It will be shipped with the bar& chain removed, ... morebut included. I am selling it as a non running parts saw!
