I have a set of Lineman Climber’s. Belt and a GTE Lineman’s telephone. From the patient information, the climber spikes were made around 1930. I have included a copy of the patient diagram and the patient Documentation The Climbing belt is newer. I found the climbing spikes and the climbing belt as a kid in Alaska. I remember finding them when I was about 6 years old. The belt is well over 50 years old and in perfect condition. I tried to use the spikes and belt twice. I could not grasp the concept to lean away from the pole. I could make it about 15 feet up the pole and because my spikes were not angled in, I slid down the pole. That was my experience in using them. They have been in my possession since 1964. Included with the climbing spikes and climbing belt are copies of the patients. ... morethere is a GTE Lineman's Telephone included. It has the rotary dial and a clip to hook it to your belt. It also has clips to hook to a telephone line. I received it when I was 10 years old, that would have been around 1970. So it is over 40 years old and looks brand new. This is an old pulp hook which is used in the lumber trade. But can and often is used as a hay hook or for other uses. It is heavy duty- weighs just shy of 2 pounds. It is all metal- the handle is not wood- it is iron. The point is sharp and as you can see, it is painted red. I can find no markings on it. Wisconsin VH4D motor with a 3" water pump. I bought this from the Waynesboro DuPont Company Salvage Area years ago with the idea that I would pump water from Middle River to water the yard in dry times. DuPont had a very strong preventive maintenance program on all of their equipment. 15 years or so later and I've never used it. I removed and thoroughly cleaned the gas tank then sealed it with Por-15 tank sealer. Oil was drained. New oil& filter added, warmed up and drained again. It now has a new filter and Shell semi-synthetic Rotella oil in it. The wheels were sandblasted and the valve stem hole welded to accommodate new road worthy tubes& tires. The rims were painted inside& out with Por-15 rust preventive paint and then the yellow over that. New spark plugs, points, ... morecondenser, and fuel pump. Carburetor& air filter were also cleaned and new oil added to the filter. I also removed the 1949-53 Buick battery box and made one for a battery I could afford. The battery now in it came from my VW camper and is about 3 years old and starts it in an instant. It goes with the unit. The charging system works great. There is a crack in the pump primer plastic as I tried to show in one picture. I don't know it this will affect the priming of the pump using the Wisconsin motor vacuum or if it will have to be repaired/replaced. Motor and pump manuals come with the unit. The motor runs smoothly with no unusual noises or smoke. Pick-up at my residence or winning bidder makes all shipping/transportation arrangements. I will transport it to a local commercial business for pick-up or to Wilson Trucking in Fishersville for shipment after arrangements are made by the buyer. $300 by PayPal. I have for sale an antique/vintage hand forged iron spike with handle. I found it at a yard sale and I don't know exactly what it is. I don't know. The seller didn't know.do you know? Offered here are two old soil testing screens. The larger screen has a 2.5" grid to screen out large rocks. And was made by Soiltest, Incorporated, Chicago, Illinois. The smaller screen has a 5/8" grid, and was made by Newark Wire Cloth Co. Newark, New Jersey. Both appear to be made of copper, with a brass cladding, which is quite worn in places. The lid also shows copper where the brass has worn away. They have been well used in an environment that is damaging to tools& equipment, so they have that great patina that comes with use.
