It has taken the heaviest tree I can put on it(Scotch) I used it for about 6 years(300 trees per year) No problems. Towable, has 2" ball hitch. Here is a nice. Heavy duty log peavey that I refurbished while living in Vermont. The main body of the peavey plus spike came from an old lumber mill in Stowe, Vermont-the C.E. and F. O. Burt Lumber Company. I bought the new handle and new hook from Bailey's out west. The handle is made of hickory and is very strong with very straight and tight grain to it. I have 2 of these and have decided to let this one go. Peavey measures 58" long and has a 17" wide bite with the hook open. Also, I used stainless steel hardware so you will have no rusting or binding where the hook attaches to the body!
