Up for sale is this vintage"The Fanno Saw Works Prunning Saw with Heavy Duty Leather Scabbard" This item is in very good condition. Has a great patina. The wood handle of the saw has no cracks or breaks in the wood. The steel saw blade is very sharp with teeth that are 5/16" in length. The overall length of the saw is 28" long,the blade is 22" long& the handle is 6" long. It could be used for prunning branches or cutting down small trees. I can envision a lumberjack in the first part of the 20th century having this strapped to his belt as he went about his work in the great forests of the day. The saw was made in Chico, California by the Fanno Saw Works. Their trademark was a hand-fan with the large letter"O" on it. I bought this block last year(I bought it new for $299.95) for a specific job where I needed to bring down bigger sections at a time. As you can see from the pictures the block is as beefy as you can get and is in excellent condition. I only used the block only for that one job. A massive dead ash tree. There are just a few surface scratches on that pretty blue paint job but those are just cosmetic. No burs or marks anywhere that would contact the rope. Though I was dropping some big sections, I came nowhere close to the safe working load(13,500 lbs. by the way) I just wanted a wide margin of safety. Seattle Washington, it is 50 Ft, it has scratches, scuffs and dings from normal use as you can see in the pictures, the tape itself shows lots of wear, it goes through a few feet where it's hard to read what it says, one of the metal bar has had a break in it as you can see in the last picture, it doesn't affect it's use at all. USA It is hard to read all of the marking because of the heavy pitting 9 1/4 in. in length. 4 1/2 in. ax head blades weight: 3 lbs 6 oz. Blade hasn't been sharpened in a long time. There are large nicks or chips out of the blades from lack of care I did a moderate clean with a wire bush to see if there was cracks or breaks to the axe. I did not find any breaks or cracks. Spherical Densiometer Convex Densiometer Help Estimate Forest Canopy Coverage This Concvex Spherical Densiometer allows accurate. One-person measurement of tree canopies. Measure forest overstory density from unobstructed sighting positions. Instruments use a spherical-shaped reflector mirror engraved with a cross shaped grid of twenty-four 1/4" squares. To take readings. Hold the instrument level, 12" to 18" in front of body and at elbow height. Assume four equi-spaced dots in each square of the grid and systematically count the dots equivalent to quarter-square openings. Multiply the total count by 1.04 to obtain percent of overhead area not occupied by canopy. The difference between this and 100 is an estimation of overstory density in percent. Units are housed in a 3"H ... morex 3"W x 1"D walnut case with operating instructions permanently affixed to the lid. A leveling bubble is also included for accurate positioning. The readings from the Convex Densiometer represent a larger sample area than those of the Concave Densiometer.

Up for sale here is a Buckingham D24 Climbing harness and safety strap(flipline) The harness is made from leather and canvas. And the safety strap is made from canvas. The harness has 2 Dee Rings, and is in great shape. It actually looks like it may have never been used. The eye holes on the harness and strap look like they never have had any pressure from the belt loop. But, because the person whose basement it was in is no longer with us, I dont know for sure, so I have listed it as a used harness. It appears to be in the 36"42" waist range. 3 vintage SPENCER PRODUCTS LOGGERS TAPES from Northern Colorado. all have about 1.5" of electrical tape at the beginning of the tape to protect it. 2& 3 could use some cleaning. 1] The cleanest[see photo 2] rolls in/out smoothly is 66' on one side& 20 meters on the other side. Tape is good w/ about 1 little krink. 2] Rolls in/out smoothly. Its 69' on one side and 69' on the other side, works fine, tape is good w/ some little krinks. 3] Rolls in/out smoothly to 64'16 meters where it stops w/ some tape still inside. its missing 3 screws from the'pillars' that position the side plates.
