It is made of brass, non sparking? has an aluminum lever, the gears& the spring however are steel. It does work but didn't have any strapping to try it, the gears are 1/2 inch wide so guessing it would take 1/2 inch banding. The larger crimping tool is also in very good used condition, has had some use, measures 14 1/4 inches long. The working area seems to be 1/2 inch. This auction is for a used Stanley 1/2" steel strapping tensioner. HK Porter strap cutter and 5/8" Signode sealer(C-5823) They are in good working condition and move freely. The tensioner has some paint chipping and light rust here and there. The cutters have a name and number engraved on the one side. All are well made, nice quality.
