Here is a super original Galloway friction drive magneto/dynamo or auto sparker. It is in excellent original condition and has most of it's original paint and lettering on it. It turns nicely with excellent magnetic pull and has almost no wear in the bearings. The clutch on the friction wheels works as it should. This dynamo puts out excellent voltage and will run an engine with no problem. It has the auxiliary low tension coil built right into it under the magnets. This dynamo was built by the Henricks Novelty Company and has the original name tag on it. There is very little wear on the armature and it sits on a nice brass base. These friction dynamos are tough enough to find in the wild or even at swap meets and this one is as close to new as you could ever hope to find! It would look ... moregreat on a nice original engine or it would even look nice on your display shelf! The pictures tell the story. I highly doubt there's a nicer original to be found. OLD TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATES PRESENTS One of the finest. And certainly the most complex. Steam engine I have had the pleasure of offering. This is a table engine sized CORLISS. I estimate the bore and stroke to be 1" by 2 1/8" I believe this to be a commercially made engine due to the overall quality, sturdiness and detail work. The engine sits on a 9" by 18" iron base which rests on a 2" thick wood plinth which in turn rests on a mahogany base that is 20" by 10 1/2" with two outriggers that are 14 1/2" long. There is no rust on the engine. I lubricated all the visible oil points and sprayed WD-40 into the valve box. The engine turns over easily by hand and at 30 psi the engine runs a little haltingly. And at 40 psi the engine hums right along. The engine ... moreis in need of a good cleaning as it has years of attic dust on the moving parts, and I am confident that cleaning and proper lubrication will help its efficiency. It features a working flyball governor with a feature I have not seen on other engines. Note the last photo: there is a 1 1/2" arm that extends from the governor linkage towards the valves. This arm can be captured by a hooked lever moved by the operator. I believe this serves to dis-engage the governor function. The valve mechanism, with all its moving parts, is wonderfully complex and a joy to watch in motion. The only thing(other than dust) that I see that needs attention is the spring latch on the damper closest to the governor. It needs to be tightened or adjusted. If you lift the spring-loaded damper arm the latch will grab it and it functions fine for several revolutions. Then the arm slips out of the latch. Does not seem to affect the running of the engine in the 30-40 psi range. The flywheel is 1 1/4" wide and 7 1/2" in diameter. The overall outside dimensions are 20" by 14 1/2" by 10 1/2" tall. The weight is 45 pounds. Please keep these figures in mind when bidding for packing and shipping costs should be considered. Remember

Here is a nice little air cooled engine mounted on a wood skid. It has a nice vintage brass top coil from a Model T and it has an early Kingston 4 ball carburetor that someone likely added. The carburetor needs some work as the float looked dried out and it leaks from the bowl drain. I was able to get it to run but the carburetor didn't seem to be picking up enough gas. But while it ran it sounded good and not noisy. I believe it is an Ideal engine, which were used on estate mowers, it has 10 inch flywheels. This was stored in an old warehouse for years and I suspect it hadn't been run in a very long time. Compression feels pretty good for being a small motor, and I suspect it will run well once the carburetion is sorted. Here is a very nice and unmolested Waterloo Boy 1-1/2 horsepower engine with an igniter ignition. I do nit have a gas tank but I'll throw in the coil that seems to put off a good spark at the igniter contacts. I had it running for a little while as I didn't have a proper tank to use. It is a quiet and sweet sounding engine and in good shape. It held water fine outside of a bad petcock which needs replacing; I filled it up and looked it over and there are no cracks, compression is ok but it was sitting a long time and already got better while running it. Nice original pair of International Harvestor grease cups in very good condition. The top is embossed with the IHC logo. These have 1/8 male pipe threads. They are about 2 1/4 inches high and about 1 1/4 inches in diameter. I'm not sure what type of implement these came on. Nice complete greaser. Here is a nice Maytag Model 72 twin cylinder engine. It has serial number 101966 which gives it a production date of 4/47. The s/n is sharp even though it shows up bad in the pic from camera flash. It has the original Eisemann spark plug boots and also new Autolite spark plugs. The auctioneer said it ran so I put it on my pick up tail gate and it ran on the second push on the kick starter by hand. I only ran it a short time and later at home drained the fuel and mixed up some fuel with the correct 16 to 1 mix. I never trust that the right mix is in any 2 cycle I buy. The engine purred right along for at least a half hour. It ran just to right of"start" so the least it needs is an air tube adjustment and I am sure it would run even better with a good ck overtune up. It is running ... morein the 2 pics where it is mounted on the board. It looked so good I thought it had been repainted but discovered later the remnants of the original decals on each end of the fuel tank. I tried to show those decals in the pics. One is not legeable at all and the other shows the OTOR part of"Maytag MULTI-MOTOR" There are a couple of scraches on the flywheel face I attempted to show in one pic. Someone put on what looks like a red rubber gas tank gasket. That is a pretty neat wood base with leather handles. It could stand a little work as the only thing really holding the engine to it is where the wing nut is. I will wire tie. With big ones, the other end for shipping and the start pedal and spark plugs will be removed also. You will find the spark plugs packed in a seperate box and the spark plug holes plugged. I will also insure it for full auction value. NOTE NOTE == You will find the spark plug wires grounded. It is common knowledge that you should never crank over the Maytag twin. Which has a"pass through" ignition coil, without the plug wires hooked to the plugs or otherwise grounded. There is a good chance coil damage will result. PAYMENT is by PAYPAL ONLY. Here is a very nice. And I would imagine very hard to find pushrod assembly for a 10hp IHC M engine. Everything is in super condition. No pitting, and NO cracks breaks or welds of any kind that I can find. The fuel pump is missing the plunger, but it would be an easy and simple job for anybody with a lathe. Other than that, this is as nice as you could hope for. Found on a barn floor recently, and it needs an engine to go back on. Take a look at the pictures and judge for yourself. I personally, have never seen a spare 10hp fuel pump assembly, complete with pushrod come up for sale. This would be a casting/machining nightmare to make all this from scratch. I can deliver for free to Portland, IN show or swap meet, as well as Coolspring, PA show in June. This part is NOT light, and it's ... morenot small either. This is a very hard to find original factory built magnet charger made by the Joseph Wiedenhoff Company in Chicago. IL. It is in excellent original condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs of any kind. It has the original name tag on it and also the original wrapping on the coils which is still in remarkable condition as can be seen. It measures about 8 inches wide x 4 3/4 inches deep and is 4 3/4 inches tall. It has a cast iron base. Most of these chargers could be used with 6 or 12 volts but work great with 6. I haven't tried it but I see absolutely no reason that it wouldn't work. It came from the estate of an early engine collector that used it many times with no trouble. These original, factory built magnet chargers are extremely tough to find in the wild or even at swap meets ... moreand they are one of the most indispensible tools in your arsenal if you collect hit and miss engines or antique tractors. OLD TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATES PRESENTS This is the largest and most dramatically impressive UTICA steam gauge I've ever seen. How large? 27 pounds of brass with an 11 1/2" face! Just as impressive as the overall size is the wonderful profile of the case and bezel. Note in the 2nd. 3rd and final photo the bold and shapely lines. The gauge is 3 1/2" thick and the design engineers made very good use of all that distance. The bezel is 14 1/4" wide and along with the gauge body boasts a fine rich patina. Here ia a tested. Good working, ignition coil for a vintage Briggs& Stratton engine. It fits Models N, WI, WM, WMB, I, U, 6s, 5s. Also included is a good used point set and tested working condensor. This is a fantastic original 1913 road map for Benton County. Iowa. It is a poster size and measures about 30 x 43 inches and is in great color. It has over 50 advertisers on it including Waterloo Boy tractor, Associated Manufacturers, Maytag, Denning Tractor, Armstrong, Wood Bros. Velie and Zip Cars, Warner Engine Company, Rock Island and MANY others. It is in excellent condition with one 3/4 inch tear on the left border which doesn't affect the map or advertising at all as it is in the margin. If you like early agricultural advertising this is certainly a wealth of it! It would quite an eye-catching display if it were framed and displayed on your shop wall or display room! I don't use the term rare very often but I can't imagine there's too many of these that survived the ... morewood stove back in the day. This is a Magneto for hit and miss engine. The only marking I can see is a stamping INS on both the magnet bars. Looks to be in very good condition. Has a brass base. It sits 6 inches in height and the base is 4 x 3 1/4 inches. The mounting holes are 4 1/4 from center to center. Any questions I'll try to answer. Up for your consideration is a real nice B. S. series 500. The series 500 engines were sold by Sears& Roebuck Co. per zinc tag. This engine has the rare front kick start. This type of front kick start was used on the Doodle Bug and Moto Scoot and other scooters in the 1940 s. I put new rings in this engine around the 1st of December.The engine starts and runs great hot or cold. Needs to be broken in. Gas tank is clean inside and out with a good working shut off. You are bidding on a very nice. Farm fresh 1 1/2hp Hercules engine. All that you are bidding on is a good crank and flywheels, very nice block, good gas tank, a cam gear, and a flat belt pulley. The engine has very nice original paint. Pulley has a very small chip, as shown in pictures, and timing gear has one tooth missing. Gas tank looks very good. Cylinder bore is perfect, NO issues. The bore has no ridges, scoring, or anything, ready to use. I can bolt this engine to a pallet and deliver to Fastenal for shipping. Shipping should run $125-$175 I would say. I can also deliver this to Portland, IN spring swap, or Coolspring, PA show in June for $20. You can also pick it up here, we are 100 miles north of Detroit.
