This is an original cylinder head with valves for a Waterloo or contract hit and miss gas engine. I believe it is for a 4hp engine and is in good condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see or know of except for two cracks which I've pointed out which should be a pretty straightforward repair.

Head removed from a smaller size Nelson bros hit & Miss Built engine. Typically tagged as a 1 1/2 or 1 3/4HP engine. Please research and do some measuring before purchasing this head to make sure it’s what you need!! No breaks or welds that I can see. Great patina. Good 1” NPT threads on the exhaust. The 4 mounting holes are spaced 3 7/16” apart from each other on centers. Valves move freely. The valves have quite a bit of “slop” (wear) In the guides. I’ve seen many engines run that way and I imagine with a good cleaning and lap job to the valves they would work just fine. Keep in mind this item is over 100 years old. It’s old and used!! Selling as is.

This cylinder head and carburetor setup is from a early 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 LA gas engine. Has good 3/4” exhaust threads. Good spark plug threads. Good fuel line threads as well. Valves move freely. Valves may need a quick lap job before installing for heat results. Has great original patina overall with no breaks or repairs that I can see. 2 7/8” x 3 1/8” 4 bolt hole spacing. I think this would be a excellent addition to your engine! Keep in mind this item is old, used, and sold as is! See pictures for the absolute best description.

Up for sale is a head specifically from a 2HP tagged Dishpan throttle governed engine. I do not see any breaks, repairs, or cracks. The valves are loose, and would probably be a good idea to give them a quick lap in job/cleaning before installing. Good threads on both the spark plug. Exhaust port is 1” NPT. The carburetor bolt hole spacing is 2 1/4” on centers. Tin muffler included. The 4 holes that are on the head that mount to your engine block are spaced 3 1/2” apart. Keep in mind this item is used and almost 100 years old. It shows wear and years of usage. See pictures for the absolute best description.

Bare head for a 1 1/2HP John Deere e. All threads look good and usable however the exhaust and where the fuel needle valve goes could be cleaned up a bit for best results. No valves. I don’t see any breaks or cracks. There looks to be a little casting flaw, (air pocket) I am pointing to the area with a pen in the pictures. I don’t see it being a issue and it doesn’t go clear through. See pictures for the absolute best description. Valve seats have some small pitted areas. This item is old, used, and sold as is.

It has a 1”NPT exhaust port and 3/4” intake port which have good threads on the exhaust and intake side. The valves move, they may need lapped, the guides have minimal play in them but it should be fine to use.

The rocker arm stands & the pushrod guide have not been repaired as can be seen in the pics. The head is in good shape, but it is missing the bolt and keeper for the valves. The valves will likely need new stems but the seats seem fine.

Cylinder head that I believe fits a 1 1/2-2HP throttle governed spark plug Fairbanks Z engine. I do not see any breaks or welds. Has some pitting. No valves or springs. The threaded areas look solid but will need some minor cleaning or a quick tap ram through the holes for easier installation. Carburetor mounting holes measure 2 1/4” apart on centers. The 4 holes that hole the head to your engine are spaced 3 1/2” apart from one another on centers. Please research that this is the correct part for your engine. Keep in mind this item is old and used. It will require work and some parts before being able to be put yo work. Please see pictures for the absolute best description. Sold as is.
