Here is a Red Snap'r model 44. 10 mile, works on a 6 or 12 volt battery. As I said above I hooked it to a 12 volt battery, but it did nothing. No switch on it that I can see. Not sure if it should make a clicking noise or not. I am wondering if the front wire parts also need to be hooked up before it works. Been used about a year. Added a lot more fence so had to go to larger charger. Fence box is working, to save the battery it has been unhook while in storage. In the second picture you will see that the batter has a crack in the case this does not affect the in anyway.

Gallagher Wrangler Electric fence charger/ energizer 110/120 volt Was bought to keep a Stubborn Siberian Husky fenced in. she went right through it. the other dog only touched it once. so it works. But not recommended for a dog that ignores pain. I replaced this with a cattle strength charger.
