Selling here is a group of 3 used genuine Boumatic Flostar milker claws with the automatic sh u toff that are in good condition but are not perfect. The bottoms are the original Flostar but they have the low profile classic tops on them. The lit tle hook on the base that holds th e top in place is missing which you can see on the pic but they are fine without it. The tops are cloudy on the one side and clear on the other side. How that works. I can't tell you but t he tops have no chips or cracks in them. The center post gasket and the outsi de claw gasket are new. The shutoff is in good condition and the rest of the parts are fine. They also come with the original stainless steel air dividers. Sanitize them and they are ready to milk. Here is an old Conde stainless steel milker claw or cockshutt. I think that's what it's called. But I'm no expert. Good shape, just a couple small dings and scratches from use. You collectors have seen these White Cedar Butter Churns in your antiquing travels or on ebay. As you can see. This is different. This 100 year old turn took the long trip, probably by sea, to get to the historic Baker&Hamilton Hardware store in San Francisco. The Baker&Hamilton building still stands in San Francisco as a monument to the historical significance this company had on the city's growth during and following the Gold Rush. The churn ended in weaverville, a town far north of San Francisco. It only makes sense that the lid and one of the legs were repaied with California Redwood. It is a beautiful piece of functioning machinery that was imported from Richmond,Virginia and made by Richond Cedar Works. My hope is an organic dairy farm or a small dairy farm will purchase a number of these and put them back in use. Most of them are in good enough condition to be used. Some would require minor repair. Vintage 1950's era Milk Transfer Unit for Automatic Milking Machine A great piece of dairy history likely dating back to the late 1950's or early 1960's. This is a milk transfer unit that would have been used with an automatic milking machine. The entire item is made of metal and is very heavyweight(9 pounds) It has the patent number imprinted on one side"Pat. 2727491" which can be researched on Google Patents to see the original drawings of the item and much more information. Overall. It is still in relatively good condition considering its age, but does show signs of use as can be expected with a piece of industrial equipment. This stainless steel bulk milk tank is on an old dairy farm 20 miles North of LaCrosse. Wisconsin. I'm not sure if the motor still works, but it did about 20 years ago. My(retired engineer) dad calculated that it should hold 500 gallons, but there are no markings on the tank that support that. It should be close based on measurements. This is a very interesting piece of work! After I have done some research and found out that this is a Surge milking pump. In which is used to milk goat, cows and sheep. It all started making sense to me. hahahah This pump is in very good condition. Considering it is used. Its not a very big item 5 1/2 in length ~ 2 1/2 in width weighing in the ball park of 2 ~ to ~ 3 pounds. This is a beautiful metal box that was placed on a porch to receive the early morning delivery of milk and milk products. The company was established in 1937. But Clover-Zeiger was the first person to bottle milk in 1902. They were then bottling 50 quarts per day. The box has not dents of any significance. Lid hinges work perfectly and has an insulated top to keep the milk and other products cold. Measurements:13" x 11" by 13.5" tall.
