Here for auction is a most interesting antique that I believe is a cattle prod however I have no real reason to believe this. It looks like a deer leg and most likely hand carved. I also have no idea if it is made of bone or wood however the grain is spectacular and have not seen any bone looking like this. The material may not be wood because it is as hard as anything I have tried to cut into. The prod if I can call it this is as beautifully a carved item as I have seen. It stands with the prod cover 23" tall. Whatever this is it is a spectacular thing to closely examine. I would love to hear from anyone that wants to guess what this actually is. This halter is in good condition. It does need oil, and there is a spot on the top of the crown where the white finish is worn off. The crown piece measures 36" when adjusted at the longest holes.
