For sale is a set of three(3) livestock ear notching tools. Found together. Kept together(for now) All are different sizes and probably for different animals. All have the V shaped notch. Two are quite rusted. All seem to work fine. Unsure of the age of each piece. Springs all work as intended. The first is the smallest at about 4" long. This tool is the least rusty. No makers mark found. Second is about 5" long and does have rust spots. No makers mark found. Third is about 6" long and is the most rusty of the lot. Has" KETCHUM MFG CO LUZERNE. N.Y. marked. I don't see any name on the pump. This is a single acting pump(only squirts out water on the down stroke) The pump puts out about 27 ounces of water per stroke. It stands about 48 inches tall. Up for auction is a used leather cow show halter dyed black. Leather is in good shape and is a little over 1/8" thick and 1" wide. It is used and the leather needs a good cleaning. The silver colored hardware and chain on the shank are a little rusty and I'm not sure if that will clean off or not. I tried to show that in the pics. Length of lead shank is 54" long. This set has been in storage for more than 10 years and were used just a few times before stored. It is important to remember that the spermatic cords must be crushed one side at a time. You must proceed with one cord at a time and make two crushes 1-2cm of distance. After restraining the animal, grab the scrotum and manipulate one of the testicles deep in the scrotal sac and find the spermatic cord. Place the clamp over the spermatic cord one-third of the way down ... morethe scrotum. Clamp down and hold for 15 to 20 seconds. Release the clamp, reposition it over the spermatic cord one-half inch lower and repeat the procedure. Perform the same steps on the other side to crush the other spermatic cord. Always check the position of the spermatic cord before and after each clamping to ensure no mistakes are made. With this method, the scrotal sac will not slough off but will remain on the animal.
