This is a vintage Pierce Electric Uncapping Knife. It is in used vintage preowned condition as you can see in the pictures. I plugged it in and it heated right up. Up for auction is my Grandfather's A.I. Root Company 2 comb honey extractor. It is a Cowan's Rapid Extractor No. 17 manufactured in Medina. Ohio USA and dates to the 1920's or earlier. He passed away in 1949 and this came out with his bee's and bee keeping equipment on a flat car in the early1920's from Wisconson to Southern Calif. It was used in his Honey business which was sold to Miller Honey in the 1950's by my Grandmother. The unit is all original and still works. It is galvanized metal with 2 handles to carry and measures 24" wide by 31-1/2" high to tub top or 32" to top of gear housing. It has been in storage for years. Please e-mail any questions. Here is an unusual knife not electrical there are two water lines 1/8 pipe on the end near the handle. There is an inlet and outlet made of brass near knife handle.Apears to use warm water to heat the knife. As you can see in picture 2 the top is copper. The fittings apear to be brass. This is a tiny beekeeping suit. It measures 33" from the collar to the bottom of the leg. My daughter used it when she was 5. Yes. It was insanely cute! This nifty uncapper is a manual frame feed model. You use a frame grip to slide a frame through the spinning chains. Can do about 4 frames a minute. Made for deep frames but I made an adapter to slide medium frames through. Only used one season. All stainless steel. twin motors. 120 volts

This week we are proud to offer this truly awesome antique- a fabulous Paris Porcelain vase which stands 13" tall to the rim and sports a 6" diameter waist. We are dating it to the mid 1850's only because of its provenance. But it might actually be an 18th Century treasure. As with most 18th C Paris Porcelains, it is not signed or marked on the bottom, and the gilding is slightly worn in spots from handling. But overall, we have never seen a piece of this age in better condition. There are no chips, cracks or restorations and the artwork has been marvelously preserved. These are two old bee smokers that my father used 30 years ago when he kept bees. My father was using these smokers until his death. They have been in storage ever since. I bought this suit several years ago and it's just been collecting dust in the garage. Overall it's in real good shape. The only issue is it does have some stains on it. I did wash it yesterday. But I did not pretreat the stains so the did not come out to good. No holes, rips or tears.

Children's one piece beekeeping suit with veil. This has never been worn by anyone. Has never been in an apiary. Was used as a display item while selling honey. This has no rips. Tears, or wear of any kind. Item has some dirty spots that can be washed with soap and water. The size is XS and fits 10 to 12 year olds. Has three pockets in the front. One upper pocket is with a zipper. Veil can be removed as it is zipped on to the full suit. Has elastic bands around the writs and for the thumb area. Zipper at boot area and elastic for protection. I have had this in storage for five years. The last time I used it. It worked very well. When my son and I took it out today, I notised the wire on the pump control, the insulatshion was cracked, and would need to be repared before use. The heater worked very well, but I warn who ever gets this, never turn on heater,with out water in the tank. If you do it will burn the heating unit out with in 60 sec. The advantage of a water-jacketed tank is that the honey can be heated quickly, so most of the foreign matter and wax will float to the top of the first compartment. The second compartment, removes any that gets past the first. As the heated honey gets to the 3ed compartment, When the honey gets to a point, the floot starts the pump control. This wood and wire double carrier was used to transport live bees from Apiary location to the beekeeper. These were shipped from Wayneville. AL to Minnesota. I remember this as a child when the bees arrived- there were hundreds of them in the carrier and they were buzzing. Would then be taken to hives and let loose into the hives. Was a tricky operation. This carrier has the original shipping label on the top. It is dated 1968. Is fading, but still mostly readable. The top plugs are missing. All wire is secure. Has rough cut wood. There is a piece missing from the outside edge on the bottom. There is some staining and dustiness from sitting over the years. Measures 11" wide, 12 1/2" deep, and is 9" tall. I am marking this as used because I bought this from an estate and so I can see that it has some rust forming on it. Its actually in perfect condition for using or displaying. My husband is a beekeeper and says that this is one of the very best ones and older because it has the asbestos protective wall. They don't make these any more with the asbestos on them. It NEVER BEEN USED see photos for details. The vent is soft and very plyable and has good suction. the wood is clean and says" WOODMAN BEE SMOKER, and then in the seal it says WOODMAN'S FAMOUS BEE-WARE, TRADE MARK REG. This is a nice three frame honey extractor made by the A.I Root Company. Except for the hole in the bottom of the tub it's in good operating condition. The spinner turns freely and has no sign of gear wear. With a little clean-up it would make a nice display piece. Or patch the tub bottom and you're ready to spin honey frames. It has a good tapper(name looks like Sarrco) Also included is a bracket and pulleys and belts that I assume must be for using a motor to drive it. But I don't know exactly how it all works. Local pickup is preferred. But I could arrange for shipping. I would have to charge $50 for packing, plus the actual shipping charge from UPS or Fedex.

This is an older but fully functional extractor. It consists of a loading conveyer with drip tray. The extractor itself and an unloading rack. The uncapper is not included. It was used extensively just last year. The pictures were taken just before the retrofitting of an air ram loader which greatly improves the machines efficiency. A typical load/unload operation with this machine now takes about 1 1/2 minutes. The motor, gearbox, electronic control and air ram loader are all less than 5 years old. A new machine like this is currently priced by the manufacturer at over $44,000. Shipping is the responsibility of the customer. These machines require about an 18' flatbed and will need to be picked up at our facility. Up for auction is an antique collectible advertisement piece from the 20's or 30's. It is made of ceramic(thin glass like body) and metal extremities. Original paint. Some rust and missing hind wing as pictured. This is a cute bee keepers display(absolutely not a toy or for play) and an extremely rare one of a kind item. It was part of my parents estate and has been displayed in my gameroom ever since. Here is a Vintage 1903 straw Bee keepers hat. it is very poor condition. The top is almost off. It shows old repairs. It has soll agents M. Stadtor Sons Urbana Ohio then written in ink is a name and 1903. in the top. There are 3 small paper labels under the sweat band one with 31368 and a 12 and size 7 3/8. Please see the pictures. This was my personal bee suit. I had only worn it 16 times. This is by far one of the best bee suits I had ever worn. My Beekeeping partner wore a standard suit and side by side he would over heat and I stayed cool. Plus I was never stung through at all where his suit arms would be riddled with stingers. All I did was don this suit over shorts and T-shirt and nitrile gloves and I could spend hours in the sunlight around angry bees. We had even removed some Africanized bees and was never stung through(with leather gloves of course) It's worth every penny to any beekeeper especially in warmer climates.
