Here is a slightly used. Lightweight carbon fiber Rover Rod. In very nice condition. Case is good. But shows some signs of wear where the Velcro has come in contact with the fabric. The Rover Rod comes in two sections for easy carrying and storage; it screws together to form a fixed height rod of Two metres. The rod includes a mounting thread. Here you go folks. I know nothing about tripods. A friends mom asked me to sell her late husbands tripod. You will have to look at the pictures and see if this is something that you would want. The condition is very well used and with the exception of a tight crack on the bottom of one of the legs that doesn't affect stability. I would consider it to be in good condition. The legs extend and clamp down well. It appears to be complete(but what do I know? You be the judge! Shipping is quite high due to size and weight. Up for auction is a vintage surveyors tripod. Made of mostly timber. Brass fixtures(top, wingnuts, etc. and steel feet. In good, used condition. The finish on the timber is worn- classic, used industrial finish, with a small split to one of the wooden sections(but does not affect performance/stability) Everything works well- wingnuts and sliding extendable legs. Measures 101.5 cm in total height when folded up. Will obviously extend right out to be much higher when legs slide out. These are often used to be the base of a lamp. This is a tripod I bought in 1983 to mount& calibrate a vintage transit that I was restoring. Once the transit was restored and calibrated. The tripod saw no use, as I put the transit on a shelf for display; so the tripod has been leaning against the wall in the garage gathering dust. Now it's time to make some space. You can see the tripod's paint is like new. The black plastic thread-protector cap that appears in one of the photos comes with it. The leather strap that secures the legs in the stowed position is original. The tripod's collapsed height with legs together is 41" the height with the legs fully extended is 66" The tripod weighs about 16 lbs. The top casting appears to be brass. The legs are wood.
