They are capable of up to 2 cooling and 3 heating stages. These are 7-day programmable with 4 set points for each day. It will also go into"recovery mode" to reach the set point by the time you set it for. These are the smartest. Most intuitive, and easiest to use thermostat I have ever used. I have installed one in my own home. I no longer have the paper instruction manuals for these. But the most up to date manuals/instructions are available on Honeywell's website. Venstar T5800 that needs some repair! I bought it new on eBay and used it for about a month. And one day I noticed the screen looked brighter than normal. And the colors appear to be washed out. Almost like the Brightness/Contrast has been turned up too high. The unit appears to work fine otherwise. I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing the LCD Screen has gone bad? This stat was only used for a short time and will work with different subbases. I have a heat-pump subbase in my store along with the non switching subbase with the stat. Non switching means it has no on. Off, heat, cool, fan ect switches on it. It works by setting the program and off you go. The heat-pump subbase has these switches and you control it.
