This is an encoder from a 5C Servo Indexer from Haas. It was made by Scancon and has Haas part number 60-18560B Rev A. It was replaced($400 new from Haas) due to an edcoder alarm on the control. This is a working allenair model 11-EC rotary indexing table. This came from a working environment and is guaranteed to work upon arrival. This unit has a electric actuated switch that is included. However it should be considered as parts as I was unable to test the switch. It looks to be missing the electric solenoid. I am unsure if there are any other issues associated with this switch. The table was hooked up to a hand switch and was in service and worked at time of removal with the hand switch. Otherwise this is a nice unit that is very clean inside. Here's an extremely lightly used Haas Digital Indexer Setup. Complete with Model S5C Control and matching S5C 5C Horizontal/Vertical Collet Indexer. This is the last model of the black Haas indexers(before they went to red paint) and is a 17 pin. Brush type model. The setup works perfectly. It's simple to use as a stand alone indexing unit. Since it is the 17 pin system. It can be directly connected to any of the Haas VF series mills if you have the rotary table servo driver installed and enabled. We did this for one small aluminum job on a friend's VF5) The current control boxes for the Haas rotary tables and indexers use exactly the same programming. As well. There are only 3 differences between this setup and the latest. Greatest. 1. The newer units understand where"Home ... moreis" no matter where and when you shut off the control. With this model. You'll want to always"Home" it before shutting down. Then it will remember where"Home is" 2. The S5C control has a 1000 step encoder resolution. The newer ones can be ordered with up to 4000 steps per degree. 3. The newest indexers are"brushless" That's good and bad. This unit only needs to be greased every once in a while. The newer brushless models use oil. Those are the only differences between this unit and the newest models of which I am aware. Further. The control panel on this S5C box has more robust buttons and switches which will last a lot longer than the newer membrane type panels. I was going to use this system on a non-Haas CNC machine. So. I acquired the proper Haas 4 Pin control cable(still in plastic and included) and an extra panel mount for my"other" CNC machine. I never had a chance to complete that before deciding that this is just too much for my simple machining tasks, not to mention the considerable investment that I'd like to recover. OMT Rotary Table made by Optical Measuring Tools in England(Now RPI UK) This table was made in the 50's-60's. It was one of the most accurate tables made in its day. It features a 16' table which turns freely and has no drill marks. The optics work as shown in the photo. There are also four threaded holes surrounding the outside of the table which appear to allow for table feed. They were covered with tape. One of those is featured in the photo. Includes the pneumatics control cabinet but you will need to figure out how to configure/wire the pneumatic controls depending on your needs. All programs work. Returns to zero. Troyke DMT-15 rotary cross slide table with 12 x 12 top working surface. This came out of a mold shop that was closed due to retirement. Shop also had 2 cnc mills for 20 years. This is a variable speed Horizontal Vertical M&M Roto-Grind with magnetic chuck for your surface grinder. I bought this at an Auction in 2009. I paid $2.000 for it. I herd that they were $3,500 New. Its as close as your Grinder can Hold. Some slite surface rust, nothing WD-40& 400 sand paper cant clean up.
