This is a factory made cart from Scranton Lace Company of Scranton. PA. The factory was established in 1897 and closed the doors 2002. During World War II they provided parachutes, tarpaulins, and camouflage netting to the allies, as well as providing a wide variety of textiles to the public. This cart was rescued with demolition looming in the near future. The age of the cart is undetermined, though appears to show many years of use. The dimensions are 17.25"wide. 37.5" long and has raised wooden sides 24" high. On both sides the number 14 appear, assumedly a stock number for the factory. It has a fabricated metal handle on the front end and 28 spool holders within the cart.
