These preamps are used by sports broadcasters all over the world, in field situations where a mixer isn't available, or when hauling out a mixer is just too much for 1 microphone. It features a mic input, a line level out with adjustable gain, a limiter in/out switch and is battery powered by two 9 volt cells. This intercom was used in our coffee shop for about 2 years before we went to a wireless system. I haven't tested it but it worked perfectly fine when we took it out and has been in a box ever since. All intercom controls work well; pots are clean; 15" gooseneck mic and speaker both work well(the gooseneck mic was glued into the station at some point, as shown) The unit is rackmountable. The 4-Channel control module has been tested with beltpacks and headsets. And functions as intended, though only three of the four bulbs lights up. The IFB module is untested. Up for auction is a used Telex BP-300 intercom beltpack unit. I could not test this belt pack as I do not have compatible equipment. It is NOT compatible with Clear-Com systems unless rewired.
