vintage circa 1980 Talk-A-Phone intercom unit This was purchased by an amateur radio operator who used it at home. It was connected to a speaker mounted outside the house. The final photo shows the record he kept of charging an external(backup? battery. Indicating usage from 1980 until 1991, after which he took it out of service- I have no idea why. The on/off switch on the back works. When on(and not attached to anything) The unit emits static since there is no sound to transmit since it is not connected to anything. The ouside of the cases look worn& dirty but the unside electronics look clean. Cables ends are intact but the cables themselves were cut off when the apparatus was surplused in the late 1990's.
