Helped speed things up on the big 400/500 wheels. A hydraulic tool can be supplied to dismantle travel wheel shaft in a simple and convenient manner. The oil under high pressure is injected through the wheel shaft and between the mating surfaces of the wheel shaft and wheel hub. The shaft can then be removed under pretension. Hydraulic tool consists of injector/pump, high pressure tube, adaptors. Up for auction is this vintage snatch block. I can make out DRH Johnson on it but nothing else. I found it in a garage I bought. It was mounted to an I-beam overhead and had a sign saying"Max. Safe Operating Capacity 10 Tons(20.000 lbs. I don't know if that is the actual rating of this piece though. I would have to assume that the rig would be labeled for the weakest component so I would also assume that this is 10 tons or more. It's about 19" from tip of the hook to the bottom of the pulley. The pulley as about 6-1/2 inches in diameter and looks like it had a 1" diameter cable. It's a little filthy and has some surface rust but the hook swivels and the pulley rotates freely. It has a 16' pendant remote, and comes with a Columbus Mc Kinnon(CM)Series 632 1 Ton trolley. It functions as it should. This snatch block is a bit of a mystery for me. I couldn't find a name on it. But it looks like a very good quality piece of equipment. On one side it has SWL 5000, on the other it looks like it says 8 T, which makes me think it should an 8 ton, and by the size of it, but I can't be sure, so you may have to judge for yourself.
