15LB SOLID BRASS SLEDGE HAMMER Together we have got some stuff to get rid of and thought we would try Ebay before a garage sale. This is a great old AMPCO hammer. I just don't think I'll need it anymore. It's been used but is a quality made piece and will cost quite a bit to purchase today. The handle has a crack in it hence the tape. I will remove the handle to ship and winner will receive the head only via USPS flat rate prority. This particular hammer was used by a railroad employee in the Omaha rail yards while he worked on oil tank cars or box cars with explosives. The hammer dates from the 1940s.
