this is a classic. this is a used lister hr2 motor and generator in good mechanical shape and it doesnt smoke when running only when starting. Typically like any other diesel motor. the valves and seats were ground and refurbished. the exhaust was replaced and has a swivel piece at the top so it can be turned in any direction. it has a new air filter. the frame work and rubber vibration mounts are in good shape. the automatic electric shut off solenoid is broke and doesn't work. there is some small seepage of oil. the air cleaner housing has dents. the paint is chipping. an electric 12 volt external fuel pump was used to run it(not included) the stock mechanical pump is not working. the generator doesn't have a breaker set up it only has a plug for 220 and 110 volts. it puts out good ... morepower. the inside of the generator is dirty. the cover was replaced with a piece of sheet metal. the wires are old and dry on the machine. the fuel lines are older also and there is no tank. it needs an external tank and pump. the stop button doesn't work. this engine is in good shape and runs great. for height reasons the exhaust will be unbolted and packed with when shipped. the manufacture number on the placard reads 2328 HR2 A29 23 and 25 horse power and 1800rpm.

This thing looks absolutely brand new inside. It only has 102 hours on it. We actually bought it from Pacific Bell ten years ago and sold it to a customer here in the Los Angeles area. We delivered it to him then and he never installed it. He actually bought all of the new switch gear and the transformer but never hooked it up. He now asked us to pick it up from his place and sell it for him. It's tall because there is a huge fuel tank inside of the enclosure sitting under the generator. This appears to be a sound proof enclosure. There is some rust on the outside of the unit near the bottom as you can see in the photo. But other than that everything else basically looks brand new. This generator came with my house. I have less than 100 hours on it since 2004. I now use a different generator so i have no need for it. This was set up for an automatic start and has a battery included that will have to be charged. It has new plugs and fresh oil. This was set up to run in my garage, I am also including the exhaust in the sale. It is not hooked up to propane now, but does run with starter fluid. Nice little 12hp 6kw Generator we pulled from one of our Ambulances that we were parting out. Worked flawlessly when pulled so we assume with some fresh fuel it will be up and running again. But we cannot guarantee it. The flange on the exhaust manifold broke upon removal so a new one would have to be installed in order to put the exhaust back on. Nothing major. Thanks for viewing! This is a GM/Detroit 6-71 mated to a Delco head. This generator is rated for 20,000 hours before rebuild. It has less than 1.000. I bought this from one of the big bell companies. With the intent to finish it and resell, but I'm too busy to finish. It has been extremely well maintained. The wiring will need to be finished, and there is a issue with the throttle. It ran fine two years ago. If you manually advanced the throttle, now it will not start. It turns over with ease. And smoke comes out, but not enough to start. It features a 6KW generator that is powered by a very smooth running liquid coled Focs diesel engine. This unit was made in the U S A and has been part of our local Caterpillar dealers rental fleet since it was new so it has been serviced and inspected on a regular basis by the CAT dealer. The light plant was built in 2007 and delivered to the rental company in 2008. It has the original paint. Good tires and with its 50 gallon diesel tank it has provides an incredible 60 hours of continuous run time. The light plant has 4 very powerful mercury halide lamps that are rated at 1.000 watts each. The lights are on separate switches so each one can be individually controlled. According to the data plate on the generator it also produces 240V to power the light balests.
