MULTIQUIP 6000 HD GENERATOR I have up for auction a nice Multiquip 6000 Generator that I have owned and used sparingly for several years. This generator has been recently serviced and runs like brand new. I have it mounted on a small trailer so it is easily moved around with out any problem. As you can see in the pictures. It has electric start and pull start for back up. The generator is located in Dewey, Arizona which is located about an hour or so North of Phoenix. Miltary MEP-006a 60 kw Diesel Generator It was started and load tested about 2+ years ago before purchase. It was tuned up by a professional at that time. It was started again recently by me but I am not educated on all the operational procedures and it powered down because the fuel switch was switched to aux instead of the main on board tank. We restarted and it ran for a while and we worked the throttle. It was louder than anything. But I am not sure how to operate it and it shut down after a while. It may need to be looked at by someone who is familiar with it and probably needs an oil/filter change. The fuel is nice and clean, no rust coming out of the both primary and secondary filter draincocks. This is a 15kw 110vt 220v 440v. It was a back up generator for a health care facility. The generator was replace with a larger one as power needs changed. It has approximately 100 hrs on it(no hr meter but from the maintenance records that is the hrs. It runs as it should. The natural gas regulator is missing as it was use on the new generator. It currently runs on the backup gas tank. This is an air cooled unit so no problems with a water system. Up for bid is a real nice Kohler 4500 generator. This runs on gasoline and has electric start. It also has a hose that comes off of the exhaust to run outside of an out building so that the fumes don't build up. I really don't know too much about this generator as it was something that I took on trade. I do know that all it needs is a carb. kit that costs $28.40. It will also need a battery because the one that is mounted on it is old and out of juice. I had it running for about a minute or so before it quit. So I know it will run, but the carb. bowl keeps over flowing which leads me to believe that the diaphragm in the carb is stiff and worn out. I had the generator when I had my Reef tank just in case of the power outtage soe my corals wouldnt die. Of course there was no power outages, I only used it 3-4 times this summer when we went camping, please look at amazon and youtube for reviews, I can also make a movie and put it on Youtube of how it works.
