This is an old drill bit that comes from the open p it coal mines in Central Illinois. It has been resurfaced and welded on extensively. This rusty and crusty relic from the American Oil Industries early beginnings was found in the basement of a great old house. This piece is in good condition on one side but well rusted on the other and the bottom. It does have some cracks in the bottom. These cracks kind of look like they may have been caused by an explosion as they have distorted the bottom outward. Take a look at the photos and you decide! This wonderful artwork was purchased at an estate sale in Albuquerque. NM about a year ago. It is simply beautiful and I just had to know more about it so I called the artist's number listed on the back of the piece and just spoke with his ex-wife.said they were on friendly terms so she didn't mind telling me about the piece. The artist is Les Bonner. He is now 73 years old. He made a few of these pieces from the mid 1980's to early 1994 she said. He purchased several pieces of scrap from the original pipeline, then cut them into shape, then had a local shop buff& chrome plate the piece. Then he would sand blast designs in the piece. This artwork is 17" long with the Aleutian Chain and 10" tall. The top has Alaska on it then it lists Nome, Anchorage, Dutch Harbor, ... moreAleutian Chain, Homer and Juneau. It also features lovely artwork sandblasted imprints of Whales, Bears, Rams, Dogs pulling Sled and Driver, Moose, Elk, Rams and Eagles. It weighs 6.5 pounds and is about 1/2" thick. Mr. Bonner is no longer making these pieces of art and his wife said the larger pieces, which this one is, sold from $600 and upwards. If you have ever visited Alaska. This is such a Rare artifact of History made into Art to own. The opportunity to find some of these pieces is very difficult. This is an Ofite drilling mud scale w/ case. It appears to be in very good condition. There are no dents or dings in the cup. The scales on all 3 sides of the beam are intact& readable. The level vial is intact. The pedestal& pivot points are straight& intact. The case is in good condition w/ minor scuffs& scrapes. The handle. Hinge& latches are intact. The cup lid has some minor surface rust. I have never used one of these. Email w/ questions& I will do my best to answer.

This has been in storage for sometime.The pages look dusty with the book closed.Nothing bad.The dust jacket has a small tear on the right hand top corner and the back shows wear.The book itself is in nice shape clean and tight pages.The hardback cover is still in nice shape.Has 21 chapters and 487 pages not counting the index.Oil and Gas Wells,The Rocks and Fluids of Oil and Gas Provinces,Discovery of Petroleum,Acquistion of Leases,Earth Temperature,Drilling Fluids,Planning the Well,Power Plants,Rotary Operations,Drill Strings, and Bits,Hoisting Operations,Drilling Pratctices,Fishing Tools,Coring,Casing,Cementing Operations.That kinda gives you an idea of what is here.Thanks for looking.

DEEPROCK HYDRA-DRILL AV 600 PORTABLE WATER WELL DRILL GOLD PROSPECTING ~COMPLETE What we have up for auction is a DeepRock Manufacturing Hydra-Drill Well Drill. Model: AV-600. Serial Number: HC591159. Tecumseh Engine(Model: AV600 660047K(B) Includes 19 five foot drill stems. 9 couplings, two drill bits and an unopened bag of Quik-Gel. Also included(not pictured) is a 3" commercial grade trash/mud pump with a Honda 5.5hp motor. Pump is used but worked great last time it was used. It has been sitting for a while and will need the carburator cleaned out. No hoses for the pump are included. Drilling rig is essentially new. The motor was run to properly break it in. The only drilling this rig has done was just to test it out. Please take a look at all the pictures so you can truly appreciate ... morethe condition of this rig. Please take a look at the pictures. everything you see is included. Although it is not pictured. The assembly manual is included. The only piece that is missing is the bolt which secures the cable to the powerhead. This can easily be replaced with any bolt you have laying around. I just used a pin to temporarily hold it for the pictures. Drill has been stored for several years and you will notice some very. Very light surface rust on some of the piping. nothing that wouldn't wipe off with a piece of steel wool. Although the gas tank was drained before storing. The anti-slosh foam in the gas tank is deteriorated and will need to be removed and replaced. No big deal, I just wanted to be sure to mention it. New cost on this drill was close to $5000. My Buy It Now price is less than half of that and I feel I have a very reasonable starting price. Due to the size and weight of the item it will be shipped freight collect via my freight carrier.
