I did not have any nails this size but the gun does cycle and leave an appropriately sized"counter- set" in yellow pine. The contact safety is necessary to sequence the trigger. This nailer is used but still works great. Cosmetically the nailer itself is in good condition with some scratches and scuffs from normal use. The case for the nailer has some pretty big stains on it. I think its dried oak wood putty, I've tried cleaning it off but it won't budge. The manual is in poor shape. For your consideration is a used Bostitch N80 Coil Air Nailer. I have used Framing. Finishing and Brad nailers a bunch but I have never used a coil nailer like this one. As far as I can tell all the parts are there and it has a good quick solid pop when it is hooked to a compressor and you pull the trigger. Up for sale is a lightly used Senco Senclamp tool in very good conditon. It uses Senco Y05. Y07, and Y09 Senclamps. The Senco catalog states that it is"Designed to do a wide range of wood fastening applications such as butt joints, cabinets, caskets, curios, mirror and picture frames better, faster and cheaper. pulls the joint together during driving for a tight fit. eliminates milling, doweling, etc. The firing valve washer(LB5005) and the piston o-ring(LB3224) Both wear parts, have been replaced. This is exceptionally clean inside and out for a used tool with very little scuffing on the exterior. There is a very small amount of surface rust on the magazine which is hardly noticeable. I don't have any coil nails to fully test the gun. However I did hook it up to my air hose. Press down a couple of times and it fired as it should. After the 3rd time, it started leaking air, not out the trigger but just above it, around the slide that comes back and presses on the lever to let the gun know it's down on what you are nailing. I could wiggle it a bit and the air would stop. To me nothing unusual for a roofing nailer, every one I have owned leaked air sooner or later. It may be dry inside and after some oil and use it stop, it still will work fine if it don't it might just work your air compressor harder to keep up with the leak.
