OK here is the history on this unit. Manufactured in 98 and sold to a commercial wood shop some where in the Nashville TN area. It was subsequently sold to General Industrial Supply in Nashville who sold it to me in 2003 to run my Haas VF3 cnc mill and my Jet lathe. This unit stayed in service in my shop until last April when I received my new Haas VF4 mill. At this time I changed over to purely digital phase convertors in my shop. I have decided that it is time to sell this unit as any further additions will also use digital phase convertors. This unit ran without complications for me and it is a heavy duty industrial design. Here is a link to Steelmans website. As many do I ran my cnc mill off of a rotary phase convertor and did so for nine years. The power balance on a rotary however is ... morenever going to be as good as digital but then the price of rotaries is FAR cheaper. 80HP equivalent max HP load in digital phase convertors would run well over $14.000.00. This is a big heavy unit and I would guess three to four hundred pounds range and will have to go motor freight. Local pickup would be good if you can manage it as I can load it at my end no problems. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS WILL COST TO SHIP AND THIS WILL HAVE TO BE CALCULATED WHEN I KNOW WHERE IT IS GOING. NOW JUST TO BE CLEAR HERE I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS WILL COST TO SHIP AND THIS WILL HAVE TO BE CALCULATED WHEN I KNOW WHERE IT IS GOING. I don't want any confusion over this and I will refuse any buyers who do not request a shipping cost before payment as I am not going to be stuck eating shipping. For sale is a good. Dependable air compressor with plenty of air reserve. Up until this past weekend, the compressor has been in my dry basement shop since 1998. The Tank is an industrial 240 gallon receiver w/top mounting plate. The Motor is a 2 hp Baldor single phase 115-208/230 volt that is configured for 230 volts. The Pump is a 2 stage Champion compressor that works perfectly. Also included is a pressure switch and gauge not shown in the photos) Note: Although good in it's current configuration, a higher horsepower motor and larger pulley would be a good upgrade to speed up the cycle time. My wife is glad that this unit is no longer in"her" basement. Due to the size and weight, I am only offering local pick up. This is a completer Pace Air Control assembly that came off my Grimmer Schmidt tow behind air compressor. I've had this compressor for about 4 years now and it was working fine when I bought it but the carb seemed a little weak. However last year is started acting up and I assumed it was the Pace Air assembly because it was having a hard time recharging. At that time I replaced the relief valve 1st but still had the same problem so I ordered a whole new Pace Air unit from Atlas Copco who now owns the rights to Grimmer Schmidt and had it replaced. However it still had problems right after and with in a week or so it was having problems running to. I found that that carb played a big role in the dis-functioning unit as well as it was starving for air from a messed up filter on the inside. ... moreSo after I had the entire carb rebuilt and filers replaced. It runs perfect. This led me to believe that there was never anything wrong with the Pace Air or the relief valve before I changed them. So with all that said. I think these are fine but sold as is. I'm not going to put the old one's back on because I can't return the new ones. For your information, Grimmer Schmidt parts are hard to come by since the closing of the shop and most everything is a special order from Atlas Copco and takes time to get. The new parts took about 6 weeks as they had to make them and cost me right around $650.00. Get these(probably good working) parts for way less and fix a unit that is broken. Grimmer Schmidt's are great compressor when they work properly. My model is this Grimmer Schmidt 100@ 125CFM Ford 302 V-8 Gasoline(4 sides are the compressor and 4 are the head) Year: Unknown but I think 1997 because of the serial# I had about 800 working hours on it before I changed the part. yes the hour meter has always worked as indicated from the previous seller) Any other questions please feel free to ask! Up for your consideration is a what I am going to call used. I am pretty sure it is new as it just has a lot of shelf wear on it) is a Kaeser AMD 6550 automatic condensate drain valve. This is a very high end valve that wastes no compressed air to remove condensate from your compressor, dryer, tank, drip leg or filter. It has a 1/2" NPT inlet and 1/2NPT outlet. I will mark the appropriated ports so you will know how to hook it up. For sale is a 1987 Kaeser SM 11. The compressor isn't perfect cosmetically. But that is expected from an older unit. It runs well and produces 42 cfm at 110 psi. It only has 30050 hours so it still has plenty of life left in it. It is currently wired for 460V, but can easily be switched to 230V. I can switch the wiring for the buyer. The oil looks clean, but I'm not sure when it was changed last. I would recommend changing the oil and filters within the next 1000 operating hours or so. The compressor is missing the panel for the electrical connections. A cover could easily be made if the buyer desires. The green indicator light doesn't appear to work.
