The blanking galvo can easily be shut off and used with more modern solid state lasers that require analog modulation for blanking. This projector has a total of three Cambridge 6800 HP galvos. Two Medialas micro amps for X-Y and a Cambridge amp for driving the blanking galvo. I built this laser projector and it has a standard ILDA DB25 input. The key switch has been bypassed but can easily be connected if you need to have the added safety of a key-switch. The body material is molded high impact plastic with handle, cover and retainer ring. It can be powered with one or two 6 volt batteries(not included) It also has a toggle switch.
