Capstone micro turbine/ generator. Rotates at 96.000 RPM to produce 30 KW of power. The generator is inside the neck part, which is also the air intake. Exhaust comes out of the top opening. The turbine was used in a mobile application(it was the engine of an electric bus) but the same turbine is used in stationary applications for power generation. These turbines can work continuously for years. The tag on it says"Good Engine, Use for testing only" so I assume it was used very little where other turbines did daily work. This is a natural gas 5KW Kohler generator. I used it a couple times over the winters. But I now want to buy a larger one. This generator needs a new exhaust pipe as can be seen in the last picture. There is an automatic transfer switch that also comes with the generator. Everything seems to work fine on the transfer switch. The generator needs a car or marine battery to operate on standby. Yanmar YDG5500E-E never used! First time added fuel to it this weekend and immediately started with a turn of the key. This is a commercial quality generator for a work truck or to power a cabin. It's diesel so you don't have to worry about short run times or heavy loads. This was stored in a shed for two years and has some surface rust on the frame. The generator itself was never used and it never had fuel in it until now. It runs beautifully. There is one bolt missing on the pull start housing that does not affect it working. This is a fully working 1969 10CW(10KW) Onan 3Phase Gas generator. This generator runs great! rebuilt carb generator head has been fully cleaned and ran through. Engine fires right up runs like a top even in the coldest weather. They do not build stuff like this anymore! Generator has has an electric fuel pump added to it. This is a very heavy item and could not be shipped. This would have to be a local pick up or you could arrange a freight pick up but all of that would have to coordinated by the buyer. Picture is an older photo I do have all of the side covers for the generator head. Its currently mounted to my trailer which has my thunderbolt siren mounted on it. Florida(just North of Miami) 60KW 190-600 V Self contained diesel tank sits underneath the generator. 4 cycle diesel Sound attenuated enclosure This Generator was installed as an emergency backup power supply to service a major Nextel/Sprint antenna site in 2007. The site was just decommissioned in May/2013. Nextel/Sprint kept the generator well serviced on a monthly basis until the site was decommissioned last week. It is a completely self contained system.
